A “Schitty” 2020 Birthday

2020 has been the year of social distancing, bubbles, toilet paper shortages, countless zoom calls and working from home. Despite these strange times, I still wanted to somehow celebrate Ben’s 27th (while respecting the provinces health & safety guidelines, obviously). So, we had a really SCHITTY surprise birthday dinner.

Breakfast at Becky's

Audrey Hepburn is #goals; her fashion, demeanour, servant leadership, and classiness. My family knew that she is one of my icons, and they pulled off the ultimate surprise Bridal Shower for me inspired by her classic film Breakfast at Tiffany’s. We’re talking pearls, little back dresses, and more!

A Weekend Getaway to New York City

Back in November of 2015, Ben & I went to New York City for a long weekend to meet up with friends. Neither of us had ever been before, and we were so excited! As university students, we were budget conscious and did not want to spend too much time away from school. In total, we were away for 4 days, and spent only $1200.00 (including flights!)

10 Things you MUST do in Banff National Park, Alberta

Our alarms were set for 3:30 AM (yes, 3:30 in the morning) to head out for Lake Moraine! We had heard from so many people that if you are not there BEFORE sunrise, you won’t get a parking spot. We were not about to take that risk, so we were up super early!

We arrived at Moraine Lake around 5 AM, and GOT THE LAST PARKING SPOT!
